PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel capable of achieving a rotation balance adjustment of a spool after completion easily and at low cost, and thereby improving and maintaining a casting performance.SOLUTION: A fishing reel is provided with a spool 5 attached to a spool shaft 5a so as to be integrally rotated. The spool 5 includes a winding drum part 5b around which a fishing line is wound, a shaft insertion part 5d to which the spool shaft 5a is fitted in a rotation-prevention fitting state, and a disk-like rib part 5e extending from the shaft insertion part 5d in a radial direction for connecting the shaft insertion part 5d and the winding drum part 5b.
