The present invention relates to treatment of Alzheimer's disease in which an Alzheimer's disease patient has one or two ApoE4 alleles, wherein an effective dose of a 5-HT6 receptor antagonist is administered to improve or increase the effect of an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor.
