PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IABP balloon catheter having excellent insertion properties.SOLUTION: An IABP balloon catheter has: a cylindrical end chip a catheter tube having a first tube part whose distal end is inserted in the end chip and a second tube part where a first lumen and a second lumen are formed inside and which is connected to a proximal end of the first tube part a joint part which is connected to a proximal end of the end chip and joins the end chip and the first tube part and a balloon fixed to an outer periphery of the end chip and fixed to an outer periphery of the second tube part. The balloon has a cylindrical neck part which is fixed to the end chip and has a prescribed outer diameter.
