PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent erroneous determination of forged determination due to variation of a biometric information value of a person to be authenticated.SOLUTION: By inspecting whether the biometric information value inputted from a body to be tested is within the range of biometric determination numerical values registered in advance, whether the body to be tested is a living body is determined. When the body to be tested is determined to be a living body, the range of the biometric information numerical values is updated so as to increase the difference between the biometric information value inputted from the body to be tested and the boundary of the range of the biometric information numerical values.
