The present invention relates to a method of producing a coherent growth substrate product formed of man-made vitreous fibres (MMVF), comprising the steps of (i) providing MMVF； (ii) providing an uncured binder composition； (iii) providing an additive； (iv) forming a mixture of the MMVF, the uncured binder composition and the additive； (v) curing the uncured binder composition in the mixture to form the coherent growth substrate product； wherein the uncured binder composition comprises at least one hydrocolloid； and wherein the additive is a micro-organism, fungus, biologically-active additive or combination thereof.La présente invention concerne un procédé de production d'un produit de substrat de croissance cohérent formé de fibres vitreuses artificielles (MMVF), comprenant les étapes consistant (i) à fournir une MMVF ； (ii) à fournir une composition de liant non durci ； (iii) à fournir un additif ； (iv) à former un mélange de la MMVF, de la composition de liant non durci et de l'additif ； (v) à durcir la composition de liant non durci dans le mélange pour former le produit de substrat de croissance cohérent ； la composition de liant non durci comprenant au moins un hydrocolloïde ； et l'additif étant un micro-organisme, un champignon, un additif biologiquement actif ou leur combinaison.
