The present invention relates to a complex comprising a gold atom cluster and a nucleic acid structure, a method for preparing the same and a pharmaceutical composition for photothermal therapy comprising the same. The complex according to the present invention uses a nucleic acid structure formed by amplification of nucleic acid having high biodegradability and comprises a gold atom cluster having a diameter of 10 nm or less so that it may be discharged with ease. Thus, the complex according to the present invention has better bioapplicability as compared to the conventional complex comprising gold nanoparticles having a particle size of several hundreds of nanometers. The complex is controlled to have a diameter of 30 nm-100 m, and thus can infiltrate to cancer tissues with ease. In addition, as compared to a complex causing no agglomeration of gold ions upon irradiation of near infrared rays, the complex according to the present invention shows an increase in temperature of 30C or higher and reaches to the highest temperature up to 60C. Therefore, the complex according to the present invention can destroy cancer cells effectively and is useful for a pharmaceutical composition for photothermal therapy.본 발명은 금 원자클러스터 및 핵산 구조체를 포함하는 복합체, 이의 제조방법 및 이를 포함하는 광열 치료용 약학적 조성물에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 복합체는 생분해성이 우수한 핵산이 증폭하여 형성되는 핵산구조체를 안정제로 사용하고 배출이 용이한 직경이 10nm 이하 금 원자클러스터를 포함하므로, 안정제로서 고분자와 수백 나노미터 입자크기를 갖는 금 나노입자를 포함하는 종래 복합체보다 생체적합성이 우수하고, 복합체의 직경이 30nm 내지 100μm로 조절되어 암조직에 용이하게 침투할 수 있으며, 근적외선을 조사하였을 때 금 이온을 응집시키지 않은 복합체와 비교하여 온도 상승률이 30℃ 이상으로 최고 도달 온도가 60℃까지 나타나 암세포를 효과적으로 사멸시킬 수 있어 광열 치료용 약학적 조성물로 용이하게 사용할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
