PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple thawing method and apparatus preventing outflow of moisture (drip) containing Umami component by preventing cell membrane break when thawing, and keeping an original body state as much as possible to retain high quality taste.SOLUTION: A frozen fish and meat thawing method includes: placing a frozen fish meat mass as an object to be thawed on a metallic thawing plate of an external vibration imparting device comprising an electromagnetic vibration generating part and the metallic thawing plate inserting an insertion electrode of an internal vibration imparting device comprising a low frequency power source and the insertion electrode into the frozen fish meat mass and giving vibration to the outside and inside of the frozen fish meat mass.
