PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent plaque scraping effect, a cleaning effect, and the feeling of cleaning, etc., on a tooth surface or spacings by raising the density of filling in bristles over a whole brush part.SOLUTION: Tufts 15 with the bristles 14 bound therein are planted in the plurality of bristle holes 13 of a bristle block 11 in the toothbrush body 17 of a toothbrush 10. A bristle part A exists within the range of at least 30-80% of a length in the bristle block 11 along a longitudinal direction X from the tip of the bristle block 11. In the bristle part, the bristle holes 18 are substantially square in planar shape, where the proportion of the total sum of the areas of the bristle holes 13 is not less than 40% with respect to the area of a bristle region 19A enclosed by a loop line 18A which connects the outer edges of the bristle holes 13, and also not less than 1 mm interval s is kept between the edge parts of the adjacent bristle holes 13 in the short size direction of the bristle block 11.
