PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leaf vegetable-containing pasty food product having thickened feeling and sufficient dietary fiber feeling.SOLUTION: A pasty food product includes 0.5-5 mass% of dietary fiber, 0.35-4.0 mass% of bread crumbs and/or cake powder, 40 mass% or more of water, and leaf vegetables. A method for producing the pasty food product includes: (1) a preliminary cooking step of obtaining a preliminary cooked product by heating at less than 100°C, 0.5-5 mass% of dietary fiber, leaf vegetables, 20 mass% or more of additive water, and 0.35-4.0 mass% of bread crumbs and/or cake powder; (2) a filling step of filling a container with the preliminary cooked product followed by sealing; and (3) a step of heat sterilizing the preliminary cooked product filled in the container at 100°C or more.
