FIELD: medicine.SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dentistry, and can be used for smile harmony estimation. One performs face photometry with a forced smile. Smile image is marked out with reference and auxiliary points. All points are connected with straight lines, framing the smile image. Obtained ares is divided into 4 figures corresponding to the vestibule of mouth on the right, dental component, gingival component and the vestibule of mouth on the left. Each figure is divided into triangles calculating their area. Sum of the areas of each figure and percentage share of each smile component in the total area of smile is determined. If the value of the vestibule of mouth is up to 3% of the total area of smile, then such vestibule of mouth is estimated as narrow. If the value of the vestibule of mouth is 3% to 10% of the total area of smile, such vestibule of mouth is estimated as average. If the value of the vestibule of mouth is more than 10% of the total area of smile, such vestibule of mouth is wide. If the value of the gingival component is more than 5% of the total area of smile, then such a smile is estimated as “gingival smile”. If the gingival component and the vestibules of mouth are absent, and the dental component occupies the entire area of smile, then such a smile is estimated as “complete smile”.EFFECT: method provides higher measurement accuracy and possibility of objective observation throughout all the stages of treatment, reduced time of measurement due to estimation of the whole area of the vestibules of mouth, the gingival and dental components of smile in mm.1 cl, 10 dwg, 5 exИзобретение относится к медицине, а именно к стоматологии, и может быть использовано для оценки гармоничности улыбки.
