Described herein are methods and compositions using PTH and mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) for the treatment of osteoporosis, fractures, and related conditions. Administration of both PTH and MSC leads to increased homing of MSCs to vertebral and rib fracture sites. The described methods and compositions provide a therapeutic tool that is based in part on the ability to regenerate and repair stem cells.
