The present invention relates to a method forsterilizing a chromatography material, moreparticularly microporous polymer membranes, to achromatography material which has been sterilized bythe method according to the invention, to the use ofthe chromatography material sterilized according to theinvention for the chromatographic removal ofcontaminants from a fluid, and to a closedchromatographic filtration system comprising achromatography material sterilized according to theinvention.
