Un sel de 1-(2-désoxy-2-fluoro-4-thio-β-D-arabinofuranosyl)cytosine est utilisé comme principe actif dun médicament, car il comporte au moins une des caractéristiques suivantes : (1) excellente activité antitumorale (2) excellente cristallinité (3) solubilité élevée dans leau (4) non déliquescent (5) excellente fluidité (6) excellente aptitude à la fabrication de comprimés (7) est produit dans des conditions écologiques (8) est produit à grande échelle.優れた抗腫瘍剤を提供することを課題とする。1-(2-デオキシ-2-フルオロ-4-チオ-β-D-アラビノフラノシル)シトシンの塩は、(1)優れた抗腫瘍活性を有する、(2)結晶性に優れる、(3)水に対する溶解度が高い、(4)潮解性を示さない、(5)流動性に優れる、(6)打錠性に優れる、(7)環境負荷が少ない条件で製造されるまたは(8)大量に製造される、などの少なくとも1つ以上の特徴を有することから、医薬の原薬として有用である。
