PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical apparatus for adjusting hair growth, performing safe light irradiation.SOLUTION: The optical apparatus for adjusting hair growth includes: a light irradiation part 1 for emitting light to adjust hair growth to a target part to be irradiated with light on a human body a light irradiation part 2 for emitting light for measuring a human body to the target part to be irradiated with light on the human body a light receiving part 3 for receiving the light which is emitted from the light irradiation part for measuring and is reflected at the target part to be irradiated with the light a processing part 4 for performing arithmetic processing on the information on the light received by the light receiving part and a determining part 5 for determining whether the target part to be irradiated with the light is irradiated with the light from the part 1 based on the result of the arithmetic processing by the processing part.
