Abstract - 591859 Disclosed is a packaged composition comprising a solution comprising a compound of formula III, which is preferably R-methylnaltrexone bromide (R-MNTX), wherein the packaged composition is a syringe, a vial, a sachet or an ampoule； wherein A- is a suitable anion； wherein the packaged composition is substantially free of tungsten. Further disclosed is the use of a packaged composition, substantially free of tungsten, comprising a unit dosage of a solution comprising 8 mg or 12 mg of R-methylnaltrexone bromide in 0.4 mL or 0.6 mL water wherein the packaged composition is a syringe, a vial, a sachet or an ampoule； in the preparation of a medicament to be administered to a subject via subcutaneous injection, and wherein the medicament is for the treatment of a gastrointestinal disorder, and which is particularly for a subject suffering from opioid induced constipation.
