An apparatus for introducing an anesthetic into the abdomen of a patient comprising: a) an insufflation device (915) to provide pressure and volumetrically controlled gas in a manner suitable for laparoscopic surgery； b) a heater / hydrator (120) connected to the insufflation device (915) downstream thereof, the heater / hydrator (120) having a heater (134) and an absorbent material (130) contained therein； c) at least a first structure (919) comprising at least a first fluid flow path extending at least a portion of the distance between the insufflation device (915) and the heater / hydrator (120)； d) at least a second structure (920) comprising at least a second flow path that extends at least a portion of the distance between the heater / hydrator (120) and the abdomen； and e) a chamber (935), characterized in that the chamber (935) is adapted to connect to the first structure (919) and is adapted to supply anesthetic to the interior of the abdomen through the first flow path.Un aparato para introducir un anestésico en el abdomen de un paciente que comprende: a) un dispositivo de insuflación (915) para proporcionar presión y gas volumétricamente controlado de una manera adecuada para cirugía laparoscópica； b) un calentador/hidratador (120) conectado al dispositivo de insuflación (915) corriente abajo del mismo, teniendo el calentador/hidratador (120) un calentador (134) y un material absorbente (130) contenido en el mismo； c) al menos una primera estructura (919) que comprende al menos una primera trayectoria de flujo de fluido que se extiende al menos una porción de la distancia entre el dispositivo de insuflación (915) y el calentador/hidratador (120)； d) al menos una segunda estructura (920) que comprende al menos una segunda trayectoria de flujo que se extiende al menos una porción de la distancia entre el calentador/hidratador (120) y el abdomen； y e) una cámara (935), caracterizado porque la cámara (935) está adaptada para conectarse a la primera estructura
