PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automobile carpet having the excellent ability to trap volatile organic substances including aldehydes.
SOLUTION: The automotive carpet includes: a base having at least a felt layer and an impermeable or sparingly permeable resin layer placed on or bonded to the felt layer and a skin placed on or bonded to the base. The carpet is characterized in that a scavenger for volatile organic substances is incorporated in, applied to, or sprayed over the underside of the felt layer of the base.
