The present invention relates to a novel use of a malaria antigen to immunise against malarial disease. The invention relates in particular to the use of sporozoite antigens, in particular circumsporozoite (CS) protein or fragments thereof, to immunise against severe malarial disease.본 발명은 말라리아 질병에 대해 면역화시키기 위한 말라리아 항원의 신규한 용도에 관한 것이다. 특히, 본 발명은 중증 말라리아 질병에 대해 면역화시키기 위한 스포로조이트(sporozoite) 항원, 특히 써컴스포로조이트(circumsporozoite) (CS) 단백질 또는 이의 단편의 용도에 관한 것이다.
