The present invention provides a breathalyzer capable of estimating the remaining life of a detection unit, comprising: an exhalation passage through which exhalation flows； a sample gas chamber in communication with the exhalation passage； a sensing unit disposed in the sample gas chamber； and a controller, wherein the controller comprises: a sensing signal receiving unit for receiving, from the sensing unit, an electronic signal that changes over time； a time detection unit for detecting information about time from the electronic signal received by the sensing signal receiving unit； a remaining life estimation unit for estimating the remaining life of the detection unit by comparing a time value detected by the time detection unit with a reference value. As the breathalyzer according to the present invention can estimate the remaining life of the detection unit by analyzing output data of the detection unit, the breathalyzer can notify a user in advance, before the service life of the detection unit expires.
