PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating element promptly generating heat and having long duration of heat generation.SOLUTION: A heating element 1A includes a heating layer 10. The heating layer 10 includes an oxidizable metal and water, is composed of a heat generation composition generating heat by oxidization of the oxidizable metal, and includes a first heat generation layer 11 and a second heat generation layer 12 the moisture content of which is lower than that of the first heat generation layer 11. A water-holding sheet 20 is laminated on at least one surface side of the heat generation layer 10, the second heat generation layer 12 is less in a heat generation composition relative to that in the first heat generation layer 11. The water-holding sheet 20 includes an aqueous polymer, and thereby the second heat generation layer 12 promptly generating heat and the first heat generation layer 11 having long duration of heat generation are formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】発熱の立ち上がりが早く、且つ発熱の持続時間が長い発熱体を提供すること。【解決手段】本発明の発熱体1Aは発熱層10を有する。発熱層10は、被酸化性金属及び水を含有し、該被酸化性金属の酸化によって発熱する発熱組成物からなり、第一の発熱層11と、該第一の発熱層11に比して含水率の低い第二の発熱層12とを含んでいる。発熱層10の少なくとも一面側に保水シート20が積層されており、且つ第二の発熱層12は、第一の発熱層11に比して発熱組成物の含有量が少ない。保水シート20は吸水性ポリマーを含む。これにより、発熱の立ち上がりの早い第二の発熱層12と発熱の持続時間の長い第一の発熱層11を達成する。【選択図】図2
