This invention discloses a hydrophobic conduction appliance with coating chromium carbide ceramic electroplating layer and manufacturing method thereof. The chromium carbide ceramic electroplating layer is coated on the surface of an appliance, as electrosurgical instrument and contact electrode, having the characteristics of high precision, wear resistance, highly hardness, 100mΩ(max.) for resistivity, contact angle 94°(min.) for hydrophobicity and linear polarization corrosion current lower than 1×10-5 Amp. The manufacturing method may be used trivalent chromate electroplating solution in the restriction of certain electroplating operation conditions.
