The medical imaging apparatus according to an aspect of the present invention includes: an X-ray source for irradiating an X-ray an X-ray detector for detecting the X-ray irradiated from the X-ray source and acquiring raw data and an image processing unit for determining a motion parameter indicating the motion of at least one of an object, the X-ray source, and the X-ray detector from a medical image restored based on the acquired raw data, and restoring the medical image in which the motion of the object is compensated based on the virtual trajectory of the X-ray source.
