PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drip detector having high accuracy of determining a type of an infusion set, and an infusion pump using the drip detector.SOLUTION: The drip detector includes: light-emitting devices a plurality of light-receiving devices for receiving light exited by the light-emitting devices a droplet fall control part for controlling lighting and lights-out of the light-emitting devices and a data processing part to which an output voltage generated in each light-receiving device by receiving the light of the light-emitting device and that determines a type of an infusion set on the basis of a result of the output voltage.
