Box for measuring the amplitude of accommodation with ophthalmic lenses. A new equipment is presented that allows the measurement of the amplitude of accommodation, by the method of the use of ophthalmic lenses for the compensation of ametropia. It consists of a box made of a lightweight material that includes a set of sheets with ophthalmic lenses, a sheet with different sized optotypes that subtend the same angle with any combination of negative lenses interposed. The device eliminates the subjective errors of the test made by the optometrist in the assessment of the accommodation. It is also possible to reduce the size of the optotype by increasing the power of ophthalmic lenses.Caja para la medida de la amplitud de acomodación con lentes oftálmicas.#Se presenta un nuevo equipo que permite la medida de la amplitud de acomodación, por el método del uso de lentes oftálmicas para la compensación de la ametropía.#Consiste en una caja de un material ligero en el que se incluyen un conjunto de láminas con lentes oftálmicas, una lámina con optotipos de distinto tamaño que subtienden el mismo ángulo con cualquier combinación de lentes negativas interpuesta.#El dispositivo elimina los errores subjetivos de la prueba cometidos por el optometrista en la valoración de la acomodación. Además se consigue reducir el tamaño del optotipo al aumentar la potencia de las lentes oftálmicas.
