PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for germination promoting treatment of seeds, which improves poor germination such as nongermination, uneven germination, etc., without essentially requiring cooling means for preventing heat generation of seeds.SOLUTION: The method for germination promoting treatment of seeds grinds the outer peripheral surfaces of seeds by a whetstone roll made of vitrified grinding stone comprising a SiC abrasive grain as a main component.
