PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light irradiation module in which optical members can be exchanged in accordance with a type and/or use of a light source to be connected, for the purpose of obtaining desired optical characteristics of irradiation light.SOLUTION: The light irradiation module of this invention includes: a light guide part for which a plurality of optical fibers are bound that guide light beams emitted from a light source an exchangeable optical member which is optically connected with the tip end of the light guide part and which converts the emission light to desired optical characteristics a basic member in which a through hole is formed inside and in which a fixing member is contained that makes the light guide part fitted to the through hole and a distal cover part which has a window to be engaged with the tip end of the optical member, which has in the window a protective member for transmitting illumination light, and which is attachable to and detachable from the tip end of the basic member.
