A handle assembly 8 for a prosthesis delivery device 2 has a proximal gripping portion 12 and a stationary/fixed gripping portion 10. At least one rail 14 extends distally from the proximal gripping portion and optionally, through the stationary gripping portion. The proximal gripping portion is distally moveable along a longitudinal axis towards the stationary gripping portion from a first pre-deployment position, where the rail extends proximally from the stationary/fixed gripping portion, to a second position where the rail extends distally from the stationary gripping portion. The device further includes an inner cannula, wherein a prosthesis (56, Fig 9) is coupled to a proximal end thereof and the handle is disposed around a distal end thereof, and a sheath 28 coupled to and extending from the proximal gripping portion and arranged to be retracted/exposed with movement of the gripping portion between the pre-deployment and second positions.
