The purpose of the present invention is to improve a perfume composition in the characteristics and persistence of aroma and thus provide a product wherein the improvements are reflected. The present invention pertains to: a perfume composition which contains an alcohol derivative represented by general formula (1) a product which contains the perfume composition and novel compounds included among the compounds represented by general formula (1). In general formula (1), R1 is a C1-6 hydrocarbon group, and R2 is a C1-4 hydrocarbon group, a hydroxyl group or a C1-4 alkoxy group.
