PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pants type disposable diaper for which pressurizing feelings given to a wearer when it is worn are reduced.
SOLUTION: The pants type disposable diaper comprises a front body, a back body and a crotch part, at least the crotch part is provided with an absorbent body, and an opening around the waist and openings around legs are formed by bonding the front body and the back body with each other at both sides. The vicinity of the opening around the waist is turned to the double structure of a wearer side part where a flexible material around the waist is not disposed and an upper tightening part where the flexible material around the waist is disposed.
