PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel capable of notifying a person who aims to catch a large-sized or medium-sized fish from land, loosens a spool of a reel, with a fishing rod supported by a tool, and kills time by doing other things, that a fish is hooked and a fishing line is pulled out from the spool, by providing the reel with a sound-issuing mechanism or a light-emitting mechanism.SOLUTION: A spinning reel 11b of a placed fishing rod includes a sensor for detecting rotation of a spool part 11b-1 alone without any rotation of a rotor, or sound-issuing means (the sound-issuing structure).
