- 1/1 summary â € œmethod for the production of highly digestible hydrolyzed keratinous material, and use of a highly digestible hydrolyzed keratinous material â € “the method of the invention comprises the production of highly digestible hydrolyzed keratinous material comprising the steps of (i) partially hydrolyzing the heat and pressure keratinous material and (ii) optionally drying the resulting partially hydrolyzed material comprising at least partially insoluble material and (iii) subjecting the partially hydrolyzed and optionally dried keratinous material to an acid or base chemical hydrolysis step to obtain a highly digestible hydrolyzed material, and (iv) purifying the highly digestible material.
