PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus by which the combination of the values of the desired imaging parameters can be effectively set by comparing and considering the combinations of imaging parameters in a plurality of recommended parameters while considering the anteroposterior relation of the selection of the selected recommended parameters.SOLUTION: The magnetic resonance imaging apparatus in which a subject is arranged in a magnetic field and a high-frequency magnetic field is applied to the subject, and which images the subject based on the nuclear magnetic resonance signals generated by the high-frequency magnetic field, includes: an input unit for inputting the values of the plurality of imaging parameters a calculating unit for calculating the changeable area of the respective imaging parameters inputted by the input unit and a display unit calculating other changeable imaging parameters and candidates of the values of them by the calculating unit and displaying the same so as to maintain the imaging parameters inputted while exceeding the changeable area in the case the values of the imaging parameters exceeding the changeable area are input by the input unit.
