Waist elastic members of front and rear waistregions (13, 14) each have a first waist elastic member (31) extending laterallynear a waist opening (16), and also have a second waist elastic member (32) locatedbetween the first waist elastic member (31) and leg openings (17), extendinglaterally in opposite sides of each of the front and rear waist regions (13, 14),and not extending in the vicinity of the center of each of the front and rear waistregions (13, 14). The second waist elastic member (32) in the front waist region(13) extends laterally beyond side edge sections (44c) of the absorptive core(44) to the inward sides of the side edge sections (44c), and the second waist elasticmember (32) in the rear waist region (14) extends from side edge sections (25)of the rear waist region (14) to the vicinity of the side edge sections (44c) ofthe absorptive core (44) without crossing the side edge sections (44c).
