A medical assembly and method for the delivery of an implant inside a patients body. The medical assembly includes an implant, a tubular member, and a delivery device. The tubular member includes a proximal portion defining a first locking feature. The delivery device includes a needle having a proximal portion and a handle having a proximal portion and a distal portion coupled to the proximal portion of the needle. The distal portion of the handle also includes a locking member that defines an opening, the opening being configured to allow at least a portion of the tubular member to pass through the locking member when the locking member is in an unlocked configuration and the locking member configured to engage the first locking feature of the tubular member to prevent the tubular member from being removed from the locking member when the locking member is in a locked configuration.
