PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid sterilizer that improves an irradiation efficiency of UV light.SOLUTION: A fluid sterilizer 10 includes a passage tube 20 that partitions a passage 12, a light source 14 that is arranged at an end part (first end part 21) of the passage tube 20 and irradiates UV-light in an axial direction of the passage tube 20 toward a fluid 40 that flows the passage 12, a holding mechanism 30 that holds a substance having a low refractive index to the UV-light than the fluid 40 between an internal surface 26 of the passage tube 20 and the fluid 40.
