PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus, with a change in an observation magnification by a variable-power zooming operation, capable of continuously changing to an observation image suited for an endoscopic diagnosis at the observation magnification, and improving the diagnosis accuracy without making an operator feel incongruity.SOLUTION: An endoscope apparatus 100 includes: lighting means having a plurality of light sources 47 and 49 generating light with mutually different spectra and illuminating a subject imaging means 21 for capturing an image of the subject and observation magnification change means 81 for changing an observation magnification of the subject to be captured by the imaging means 21. The endoscope apparatus further includes light quantity ratio change means that changes exit light quantity ratios of the light sources 47 and 49 according to observation magnifications set by the observation magnification change means. The endoscope apparatus is configured to change a relationship between the observation magnification to be changed by the light quantity ratio change means and an exit light quantity ratio of the plurality of light sources 47 and 49 according to the change in the observation magnification.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
