PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drug release gel composition for injection that is a long-lasting drug carrier composition, and to provide a production method thereof.SOLUTION: The invention provides a gel composition 100 comprising: a plurality of chitosan spheres 110, each of which is a sphere of self-assembling of chitosan； an alkaline chitosan stabilizer 120 by which the chitosan sphere 110 connects to form the gel body 102； a chitosan degrading enzyme 130 dispersing into the gel body 102； and a drug dispersing into the gel body 102； wherein the chitosan degrading enzyme 130 degrades the gel composition 100 at a temperature of 20-40°C.
