The present invention concerns a method for characterising the distribution of volumes of the surface of the skin of an individual, for application, in particular, in the assessment of the effect of firming cosmetic products. This method uses the isolines and the gradients of the slopes calculated from a three-dimensional representation of the surface of the skin.La présente invention a pour objet une méthode de caractérisation de la répartition des volumes de la surface de la peau dun individu, trouvant plus particulièrement application dans lévaluation de leffet de produits cosmétiques raffermissants. Cette méthode exploite les isolignes et les gradients des pentes calculés à partir dune représentation en trois dimensions de la surface de la peau.
