The circuit arrangement has a parallel circuit, in which two inductors are connected in parallel manner. An apparatus is configured to detect occupancy of at least one cooking sub-zone of the cooking zone by a food preparation vessel and includes a current measuring element which is connected in series to the parallel circuit.
