An aspect of the disclosed invention provides an X-ray imaging device and a control method thereof, which minimize the displeasure of a patient by increasing the temperature of a part of the X-ray imaging device touching a breast by generating radiant heat, and can maintain the temperature without an additional operation by controlling the temperature automatically. The X-ray imaging device taking a breast image according to an embodiment of the disclosed invention includes: an X-ray tube for generating an X-ray and irradiating a subject； an X-ray detector for converting the X-ray to an electric signal by detecting the X-ray penetrated the subject； a subject touching unit for touching the subject installed in the X-ray detector； an ultraviolet ray generator for irradiating a part touching the subject with ultraviolet rays； and a control unit for controlling the ultraviolet ray generator.개시된 발명의 일 측면은 복사열을 발생시켜 엑스선 영상 장치 중 유방이 접촉되는 부분의 온도를 상승시킴으로써 환자가 느끼는 불쾌감을 최소화시키고, 온도를 자동으로 제어함으로써 사용자의 별도 조작 없이도 온도가 유지될 수 있는 엑스선 영상 장치 및 그 제어 방법을 제공한다.개시된 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 유방 영상을 촬영하는 엑스선 영상 장치는, 엑스선을 발생시켜 대상체에 조사하는 엑스선 튜브, 대상체를 투과한 엑스선을 검출하여 전기적 신호로 변환하는 엑스선 검출기, 엑스선 검출기의 터부에 장착되어 대상체와 접촉하는 대상체 접촉부, 대상체 접촉부에 자외선을 조사하는 자외선 발생기 및 자외선 발생기를 제어하는 제어부를 포함한다.
