A low-odor liquid disinfectant composition for eradicating spores, consisting essentially of: c. a two-part liquid activator system comprising an aqueous dispersion of an acetyl donor, tetraacetyl ethylene diarnine (TAED), wherein TAED is present in amounts from 30 wt.% to 40 wt.%, based on the weight of the TAED dispersion, and a liquid alkalinity solution wherein the alkalinity agent is present in amounts ranging from 4 wt.% to 7 wt.%, based on the weight of the liquid alkalinity solution and d. an aqueous solution of hydrogen peroxide, wherein the hydrogen peroxide is present in an amount ranging from 3 to less than 10 wt.%, wherein the TAED dispersion, liquid alkalinity source and hydrogen peroxide solution are mixed just prior to use to form a peracetic acid solution.
