The present invention relates to a gene CaSGT1 (Capsicum annuum Suppressor of G Two allele of SKP1 1) capable of inducing apoptosis by interaction with nonpathogenic bacterial protein AvrBsT and transgenic plants using the same. According to the present invention, the gene can effectively control disease resistance of the plants by interaction with AvrBsT, thereby being useful as a genetic material for molecular breeding so contributing to the production of a disease-resistant plant variety and transgenic plants.본 발명은 세균의 비병원성 단백질 에이브이알비에스티 (AvrBsT)와 상호작용하여 세포사멸을 유도할 수 있는 유전자 CaSGT1(CapsicumannuumSuppressorofGTwo alleleofSKP11) 및 이를 이용한 형질전환 식물체에 관한 것이다. 상기한 본 발명에 의하면, 상기 유전자는 에이브이알비에스티 (AvrBsT)와 상호작용하여 식물체의 병 저항성을 효율적으로 조절할 수 있어 분자육종을 위한 유전재료로서 유용하게 사용되어 저항성 식물 품종 개발 및 형질전환 식물체 제작에 기여할 수 있다.
