The N-pyridylpiperidine compound of the invention is represented by Formula (1) wherein R 1 is a halogen atom, a C 1-4 haloalkyl group, a cyano group, a nitro group, or C 1-4 alkoxycarbonyl group； R 2 , R 3 , R 4 , R 5 , R 6 , R 7 , R 8 , and R 9 are each independently a hydrogen atom or a C 1-4 alkyl group； R 10 is a hydrogen atom, etc.； R 11 is a halogen atom, etc.； X is an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom, m is an integer of 1 to 4； and n is an integer of 1 or 2. The N-pyridylpiperidine compound of the invention has an excellent miticidal activity against spider mites and rust mites.
