PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film coating composition in which adhesion between tablets during coating hardly occurs, and the film to be formed is excellent in flexibility and moistureproofness under high humidity conditions, even when the content ratio of PVA with a saponification degree of 85.0 to 89.0 mol% is increased.SOLUTION: A film coating composition for an oral solid preparation consists of PVA with an average saponification degree of 85.0 to 89.0 mol% satisfying the following requirements (a-1) and (a-2) and a (meth) acrylic polymer. Requirement (a-1): The solution is obtained by adding 130.0 ml of 1-propanol to 100.0 g of a 5.0 mass% aqueous solution of PVA and stirring them. The transparency of the solution at 20°C is 50.0% or less. Requirement (a-2): The solution is obtained by adding 230.0 ml of 1-propanol to 100.0 g of a 5.0 mass% aqueous solution of PVA and stirring them. The concentration of the supernatant obtained by leaving the stirred solution to stand at 20°C for 24 hours is 0.75 mass% or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None
