Disclosed are compounds of formula (I), (II), (III) and (IV), and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. The compounds are inhibitors of ALK2 kinase. A pharmaceutical composition comprising a compound of formula (I), (II), (III) or (IV), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, as well as those compounds or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt and composition thereof. Methods are also provided for use in treating and preventing various diseases and conditions, such as progressive ossifying fibrodysplasia.
