The purpose of the present invention is to provide a carbohydrate derived energy supplying agent which has slow digestibility and long acting digestibility functions. Provided according to the present invention is a slowly digestible long acting energy supplying agent containing a saccharide composition that satisfies (A) (B) (C) and (D): (A) the ratio of a 1 6 bonds relative to all glycoside bonds is 60% or more (B) the content relative to all saccharides of saccharides having a degree of polymerisation of 1 or 2 is 9 mass% or less (C) the content relative to all saccharides of saccharides having a degree of polymerisation of 3 30 is 41 mass% or more and (D) the content relative to all saccharides of saccharides having a degree of polymerisation of 31 or more is 50 mass% or less.
