The object of the present invention is to provide a reduced glutathione crystal in which the content of impurities, particularly L-cysteinyl-L-glycine, is reduced and a method for producing the same. The present invention relates to a reduced glutathione crystal having a peak area of L-cysteinyl-L-glycine of 0.02 or less with respect to a peak area 100 of reduced glutathione in a high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) analysis.본 발명은, 불순물, 특히 L-시스테이닐-L-글리신의 함유량이 저감한 환원형 글루타티온의 결정 및 그 제조 방법을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 본 발명은, 고속 액체 크로마토그래피(HPLC) 분석에 있어서, 환원형 글루타티온의 피크 면적 100에 대하여, L-시스테이닐-L-글리신의 피크 면적이 0.02 이하인 환원형 글루타티온의 결정에 관한 것이다.
