PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for isolating tigecycline.SOLUTION: The process comprises the step of spray-drying a solution of tigecycline represented by the formula (1) in a solvent. Preferably the solvent is water or an organic solvent, the concentration of the tigecycline in the solution (w/w) is 2-28%, and the tigecycline is obtained by spray drying with the drying temperature of 60-100°C. In another aspect, there is provided tigecycline obtainable by spray drying, particularly in an amorphous form.【課題】チゲサイクリンの単離方法を提供する。【解決手段】溶媒中の式（１）で表されるチゲサイクリンの溶液を噴霧乾燥する工程を含む前記方法であり、好ましくは、該溶媒は、水又は有機溶媒であり、溶液中のチゲサイクリンの濃度（w/w）が、2～28%であり、乾燥温度が、60～100℃である噴霧乾燥によって得るチゲサイクリンを提供する。別の態様において、噴霧乾燥によって得ることが可能な、特に非晶質形態のチゲサイクリン。【選択図】なし
