Disclosed is a seat pad and a chair having same, the seat pad consisting essentially of: a lower surface that is formed as a downwardly concave curved surface so as to enable a deviation from a normal position to a slanted position by means of the leaning of the body of a user and a sensor placed on the surface on which the lower surface is provided for sensing when the lower surface slants in any one direction with respect to the normal position of the bottom surface. The sensor can send signals to a controller, a signal connector, and a memory by means of a conductive wire. According to the present invention, although the curved surface slope extending from the center to the perimeter of the lower surface can be varied in many ways, it is good to make the average slope from the center to the perimeter to be 10 degrees above or below a reference of 20 degrees, and it is preferable to form the upper surface of the seat pad so as to have a surface curving according to the part of the body to be seated thereon. According to the present invention, when the seat pad is placed on a seat and a user seated thereon slants his/her posture in any one direction, the sensor senses the slant and generates an electrical signal.
