PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring apparatus used for an object, the apparatus creating images with less deterioration of resolution caused by refraction without using complicated calculation for correcting the effect of refraction of an acoustic wave.SOLUTION: The measuring apparatus is used such that the apparatus includes a probe having an element detecting the acoustic wave that has propagated through the object, an acoustic lens disposed between the probe and the object, and a signal processor obtaining object information from an electrical signal based on the acoustic wave detected by the element of the probe.
